American's With Funny Names

ok.  we're all aware that the republican camp is enjoying the hell out of highlighting Senator Obama's 'funny' name, particularly the Hussein part.  and while i appreciate Senator McCain kindly informing a constituent that Obama was not in fact "an arab", this is what i would like to hear more of...

there are lots of us that are arab or of arab backgrounds.  

and more importantly, there are lots of us with funny names.  i'm oh so pleasantly remembering middle school and being referred to as "The Shah".  and look at all these celeb babies today whose names seem to come from a bad scrabble hand.  or Gov. Palin's kids.

Trying To Be A Big Girl

Advise:

ok.  here's the deal.  i'm trying to clean up my credit history.  it's not really that bad - just very little of it.  but i have a couple small outstanding things.  here's the bitch, though.  my credit report gave me numbers to call, but they are basically non-functioning.  anyway had this happen to them?  any advise for how to pay bills when you don't know who you owe them to or how to find them?
